Jim was great! Our engagement pictures at Dundurn Castle turned out very beautifully. 😍
He is very quick in responding to emails and texts. He was very laid back which put us at ease. He allowed us to freely choose poses and give ideas and he happily accepted our choices; but he also had great recommendations. He has a keen eye for the perfect shot. Jim also offers printing service as well, which is super handy; one stop shop, our pictures were ready within a couple of days after placing an order. JBR photo has been here with our family through the many challenges we faced during the pandemic. as my daughter was married in the summer the restrictions made it difficult to have everyone attend, so some pictures were done offsite, and with limited space. Jim continues to be so accommodating as he has followed my family on photo shoots’ whether it’s in the extreme heat of the summer or in the extreme cold at Dundurn castle in order for my children to surprise me with a family photo’ and now my daughters surprise proposal’.

Jim is a fantastic photographer and now he has also ventured into doing art prints. When I found out he was doing art prints, I gave Jim one of my pastel art pieces to do a print for me. I choose a particularly difficult art piece because I wanted to see what he could do with it. The art piece was done in soft pastels and had a wide range of dark and light values and a wide range colours. I also had a specific paper that I wanted it printed on. Jim found the paper and achieved the colour and value range in the final print. He did a great job. One other thing: Jim’s prices are very competitive. I had my first experience doing a photoshoot with JBR Photos and I was really nervous. The photoshoot with James was a really fun and relaxing experience and it showed me there was nothing to be nervous about!
